Buying guide
What is an olive dağar jar?
A round-bellied clay jar of enormous capacity, made in southeastern Anatolia to store olives. We hold three forms: I with embossed marks and rope-like bands, II in brown clay with rope bands, and III ribbed with a flared rim. Standing alone in a courtyard, a hotel lobby or an olive garden, one needs no companion.
Which pieces work as large garden planters?
The white-washed dağar pots: medium pots 49–51 cm with a red interior, and large pots 65–68 cm, both trimmed with rope bands. The pale wash holds well against green foliage on a terrace, beside an entrance or in a villa courtyard.
How are they sold?
The three olive dağar jars are sold as single pieces, crated and insured; the other dağar forms are supplied within a grouped collection order. We confirm exact dimensions and weight before purchase — see delivery and documents.
