Anatolian Amphorae
Konya Green Amphora, Large
DA-0103 · Konya, Central Anatolia
Standing between 35 and 65 cm, these larger amphorae from Konya pair terracotta and cream bodies with green-glazed necks. The type was hand-thrown for storage, and the proportions show it: full shoulders and a neck that narrows toward the rim. The glazed neck gives each piece its own character against the plainer clay below. Placed in an entrance hall, beside a staircase or against a courtyard wall, they hold a corner without crowding it. Supplied as part of a grouped collection order; sizes and glazing vary.
