Anatolian Amphorae
Ribbed Globe Jar
DA-0108 · Anatolia
Round clay jars with fine horizontal ribbing wrapped around the whole body, in finishes from chalky white to a mossy grey-green. The ribbing catches side light and gives a plain, generous form real surface interest. A single jar works as a planter or floor accent beside a staircase, and three in different tones make a quiet still life on a terrace or a hotel console. Sold as individual pieces within a small collection; finish, height and proportions vary from those pictured.
